Like Audacity, but not free. But a good price for such a thing. Got my latest version last week (maybe February 19, 2010). Link to tutorial video on that: www.youtube.com I've been using Audio Cleaning Lab (ACL) since Magix came out with Version 3.0. What got me into buying it, besides the price of less than $50, was the remastering features. I used it for... * cutting down or even getting rid of unwanted clicks and crackles from vinyl records * reducing unwanted hiss from tape recordings * reducing 50/60 Cycle hum and other unwanted noises * boost the quiet sounds that are too quite to be easily heard * make the sound go backwards * change pitch or speed or both Of course, it's also useful for making CD compilations as well as MP3 files. Also can be used for other compressed audio files like FLAC, WMA and Ogg Vorbis. You could use it to remaster the audio from video files (although the remastered audio file would become separate, if I'm correct). This version I got in the mail today (August 18, 2009) This is one of two videos explaining ACL's features. The other one talks about "MAGIX Music Editor", which comes along with the ACL.
