Wearing it is like being showered in baskets of jasmine and gardenia petals which is likely to happen pretty much only if you are a prima ballerina or a storybook fairy queen. For the rest of us, a mere spritz of Jasmin Noir fulfills whatever fantasy you have that ends with a bunch of flowers being dumped on your head. Now, in the wrong hands, mass quantities of jasmine can be migraine-inducing. The note is bright and piercing. But Jasmin Noir highlights the fresh aspects of this flower, and mutes it with a nutty quality. Also well-rendered is the gardenia, which is a hard flower to get right, perfume-wise. It can come off as sickly sweet, but in Jasmin Noir, it's deep and green. This eau de parfum dries down to warm woods.
