Wearing it is like being showered in baskets of jasmine and gardenia petals which is likely to happen pretty much only if you are a prima ballerina or a storybook fairy queen. For the rest of us, a mere spritz of Jasmin Noir fulfills whatever fantasy you have that ends with a bunch of flowers being dumped on your head. Now, in the wrong hands, mass quantities of jasmine can be migraine-inducing. The note is bright and piercing. But Jasmin Noir highlights the fresh aspects of this flower, and mutes it with a nutty quality. Also well-rendered is the gardenia, which is a hard flower to get right, perfume-wise. It can come off as sickly sweet, but in Jasmin Noir, it's deep and green. This eau de parfum dries down to warm woods. It's very romantic, and although its on the sweet side, I know that some men like to wear it, too. I'm Katie Puckrik, and I smell.
