From Hank's Guitar Player album 2002. Recorded using my Steve Toon Montpellier hybrid guitar. Quadraverb Q2 programmed with echoes from the past EFTP Patch 1-66. M-Audio Delta 1010 sound card. cubase sx-5.Video editing in Sony vegas pro 9 64 bit. It's hard to believe it's over 8 years since Hank bought out his Guitar Player album. I remember it well, - I was touring Ireland and I could hardly wait for the shops to open on the day it was released. And then I drove the wife crazy as I played the CD constantly for a week on my car's CD player as we toured around Ireland. I love the way Hank plays the acoustic -- Fantastic - In my opinion his best solo album. I've recorded 6 songs from this album so far, and now Ian McCutcheon has bought out Workout 15 with 2 great versions of Killing me Softly Backing track on, one with the 2nd guitar and one without. Ian has done a great job and I asked him if he would do a 3rd version -- one without the drums so we could do our own thing on there. He kindly agreed -- so here is the result of Ian's BT with 2nd Guitar , Andrew my son's drumming and my acoustic lead. Hope you like Killing me softly. My Web Site: modelrr.oakviewresources.com Part 66: This is a multi-part blog where I make the scenery on the river scene on my model railroad. Music Notes: The music on this video was recorded using Sonar Home Studio Ver 6.0. The drums and keyboards were played on an M-Audio Keystation 61 ES and/or sequenced in the MIDI Editor. The bass used is an SX Fretless Jazz Clone Modded with Dimarzio J Pickups.
www.dustybin.org.uk ********* This track was composed on the Amiga 500, converted to MIDI on a 1200, then compiled via an Athlon 2.4 Ghz PC running Samplitude 10; the latter machine is equipped with the M-Audio Delta 66 and Sound Blaster Live sound units. Outboard equipment used for the recording included the Soundcraft M8 mixer, Focusrite Platinum Penta compressor and Behringer Tube Ultra Q equaliser with valve-presence controls. Feeling a minor jam tonight. For whatever reason I find I have to think less over minor progressions. This one is pretty raw - just four chords and my 'voice'. The HD500 decided to jump the levels of one of my patches unexpectedly, so sorry about that - I fix it pretty quick. I'm using my SX Furrian with a bunch of mods. It has a new nut, saddles, eletronics, gfs 50's repro in the bridge, and fralin vintage hot int he neck. On the HD500 I primarily am using a bassman patch for the cleans and a JTM for the lead stuff. The Dr. Z sees some action as well.
