This Hermés fragrance is a much better example for a nice unisex scent than the "un jardin sure le toit" was. It is active, fresh, vibrant and somehow really appreciatable as a man or a women. Due to it's musky background it's a nice and settled blend for men yet women wouldn't think it is too musky because other notes equalize such as the tea. Out of 10 I'd give this fragrance a 8/10 because it fullfills it's mission without any doubt, superbly.
You like Agarwood in perfumes? You certainly should give this a try! You don't like Agarwood? Stay away from this fella :-) Montale's Black Aoud give a nice, rough yet still charming blend on the hugely appreciated and wanted ingredience of Agarwood (Oud/Aoud). The main concept of this perfume is to take the basic character of the raw Agarwood and blend it into a gentle frame that sorrounds the everlasting strictness and earthiness of the actual Oud. As said in the vid I really apologize for misjudging this fragrance. It's simply problematic to seriously rate a scent when you only were able to smell it on one of these pre-sprayed test papers in the store. So getting this fragrance right I have to say that I adore it. For all of you seing this fragrance as flat on your skin and blaming it to be a copy of cool water etc. I just really wonder what your nose is getting. This vibrant and active fragrance really delights my nose with it's clear and organic anise and pepper structure through the whole scent. The longer it lies on your skin the more spicy it gets and in combination with the sun this perfume goes crazy and really offers you one of the most complex aquatic summer smells I ever let through my nose. I can seriously only advise you guys to give this scent a try and especially when you're a women who is into stronger and rougher fragrances that stil are wearable as a female :-)
"Un jardin sure le toit" - such a nice name, such a flat fragrance. Sure a unisex fragrance isn't supposed to be strong and very masculine but does that equal being all floral and sweet? I don't think so. For a fragrance of Hermés this was more than disappointing and I really don't see a connection in between this piece and the superb voyage d'Hermés. Anyways who so ever out there is interest in a very feminin and light fragrance for the summer give this piece a try :-)
