However with its new design and Intel's Core i5 processers it becomes apparent who this laptop is aimed at. When comparing this model to its predecessors it is apparent that the design has had a huge overhaul. Although still the vast majority of the chassis are matte black plastic which brings us back to the 20th century, Dell has now added aluminum backing which does indeed draw the attention of the eye, as well as adding some much needed durability. As it goes for connectivity Dell has bundled in fair few of ports for a low budget computer. Starting with an Express Card Slot, Firewire, eSata/Usb Combo, HDMI, VGA, 3x USB as well as the standard audio ports. Not so bad is it? Like most of Dells laptops I am generally happy when using the keyboard. With its chicklet styled design borrowed from the v13 and MacBook's you get a real sense of touch typing and pretty good speed. By all means though, you wont be breaking the typing speed record though. Its just one small thing that really lets the aspect of the keyboard down, when using the outer edges of the keys it is very apparent that the keyboard is flexing. Which to me just screams poor build quality. The trackpad is respectable in size and very easy to use. It does include multi-touch <b>...</b>
Buttons..! Now how can designers get buttons wrong? A laptop has 2 things which are fundamental, the screen has to work and the buttons have to work (though you could live with a poor screen). However, it seems Dell can't get the buttons right. This Vostro 3500 series laptop was just switched on and I realised the buttons didn't work properly. They are meant to be touch sensitive - a recipe for malfunction. I would recommend you stay clear of the new Vostro 3500 and the Vostro 3700, especially if you use the laptop's hardware volume and mute buttons. Also please note, Dell's Next Business Day "ProSupport" is useless as it does not mean much. If they say they can't come out, then they can't come. This is because as every Dell representative will tell you the Next Business Day is not guaranteed in the terms of sale. I guess one could take them to court for misleading advertising, though being up against a big organisation can be costly. And Dell know it. The all new Vostro 3500 & 3700, great on paper, great in your hand, but remember what use is a motor car if you find you find the steering wheel doesn't turn. Remember, buttons have been around a long time, humans don't really need training on how to press them (hell even chimps don't need that much training to press them) and if newly designed Dell laptops have buttons that don't work, well what more is there to say? Though I guess just like holding the iphone4, maybe there is a special way to press buttons on a Dell laptop!

Este vídeo é para demonstrar um pouco mais as qualidades e defeitos do vostro 3500. OBS: ELE NÃO TEM PLACA 3G, alí no vídeo é só mostrando a entrada, mas não tem o hardware. hehe i5-520 (2.4 até 2.933ghz) 4GB DDR3 HD 500gb 7200rpm GeForce 310M Bluetooth Wireless-N Teclado retroiluminado (perfeito) Entre outras coisas, rodei o emulador de Wii nele, com Mario Bros numa boa, além de COD MW2 em high, GTA IV em HIGH-MID-LOW e outros jogos com boa velocidade e qualidade. Já já posto os jogos aqui e no review que estou fazendo. OBS: Como mostro no vídeo na hora do COD MW2, eu estou usando ele na bateria, por sinal dura um bocado, de acordo com o uso. Abraço!
