Summer NAMM 2005: Alesis gives Gearwire a brief look at the MultiMix series of 24-bit Firewire mixers, including the MultiMix 8 FireWire, the MultiMix 12 FireWire, and the MultiMix 16 FireWire. As you might have guessed, they feature eight, 12, and 16 channels respectively, with three bands of EQ per channel with high/low shelving.
Recorded live in my Studio (aka living room) using Alesis Multimix 16 Firewire, Sonar 6 Production, Akg D3900, Guild GAD-40CE, Yamaha CJX-12S, UltraSound DI Plus, Behringer Ultra DI. Just playing along here for sake of video.
Finally, here is the new song of mine. Like in the previous video I play all the instruments in this song. The tracks are recorded with one take while the camera was rolling. There was no filming or recording afterwards (except the left guitar. I didn't film the left guitar because it's almost the same as the right one.) Equipments that was used in this video: Drums: Yamaha Stage Custom Drum mics: Bassdrum: Shure B52 Snare: Shure 57 TT and FT: Shure 57 Overheards: Beyerdynamic Opus 53 The drums were recorded with Alesis Multimix 16 firewire and a laptop. The drum recording software was Audacity. Guitar: Tokai Lespaul something with EMG 85 bridge pickups. Guitaramplifier: Marshall valvestate 8080 + bad monkey Guitar was recorded with Shure 57 Bass: Fender precision Highway 1 with emg precision pickups and emg musicman pickups. Bass amp: Hughes & Kettner Bassforce L 100w Bass was recorded with Shure B52 and line out Both guitar and bass was recorded with mbox 2 mini and pro tools LE 7.1. Because I'm now a happy mac book pro owner the mixing and mastering was made with Logic Pro 8. The video was edited with Final Cut 4 Express.
