First of let me aologise for the audio clipping, I had a few issues with the camera dying on me and lost track of volume for one of the demonstrations. Also for some reason my brain couldn't seem to get around the fact that this is a 4.5 - 45 Watt amp not 5 - 40! The Blackstar Series One 45 is a beast of an amp, the volume from this amp is incredible and it has a really great articulate overdrive. The EQ options are pretty much endless using the resonance, presence, ISF and treble, middle and bass. The Crunch has plenty to offer but the Super Crunch adds that little extra which I loved. The Clean channel is great too with a warm and bright setting depending on your preference. It doesn't sound that different in this demo but sitting in front of the amp you hear a definite difference and feel the difference in response. Aussies check out www.nationalaudio.com.au for the complete Blackstar range. http

HQ SOUND Blackstar Series One 45 W Combo PRS SE Singlecut Review Review Settings : (compared to a clock) DRP : 4,5 Watts Master Volume : 10-11 Presence: 9-10 Resonance: 11 ISF: 3 (Master of Puppets try: 9) Treble: 9-10 Middle: 10 Bass: 3 Clean: Volume: max. Gain: 10 Overdrive: Volume: max. Gain: 11 The whole recording was done just by changing the channels. The Mode at the beginning is of course Bright Clean and not Warm Clean. This examples were recorded with a PRS SE Singlecut (2 Humbuckers, Les Paul type) I often switch between the Pickups and try to show how the Amp cleans up when hitting the strings not as hard. The mic is a T-bone MB75 (Shure SM-57 clone) and its going into a Line 6 Toneport UX2. Podfarm was not used. Youtube has really compressed the sound.
