We compare 4 Celestion Speakers using a Rivera Venus 6. Luis Maldonado plays the same rhythm and lead track through all four Celestions while keeping the EQ the same on the amp. This gives you an accurate way of seeing and hearing what the speakers enhance or take away. See more Comparisons on Riveratv.com and guitarloverz.com Guitarloverz.com is coming sept 09!

Marshall 1960ahw vs 1960av! Here's two cabs and powered from a Marshall afd100 and a Gibson Les Paul 1960 reissue. I've got an A/B switch running from the head to each cab. the 1960ahw has the G12H 30 while the 1960av has the vintage 30's (or the G12 V30 as celestion call them) I generally play a phrase or section through the Greenbacks then the v30's calling out as I go. visually the ahw is so much more handsome with the salt and pepper weave, small logo and no rubber corners - very classy. Sonically the greenbacks are slightly louder, brighter, distort more but it sounds a little harsh - very bluesbreakers. perhaps slightly fuzzy a real raucous rock sound. With clean it's really awesome... esp with a Strat The V30's are smoother, more laidback, distant thunder if you will... I think I'm justslightly leaning towards the V30's.... let me know what you think ps. it's just recorded on a little sony digi camera. The attenuator was on the afd 100 though so I was kicking out about 3 watts (or 85-90 dB). setting on the amp were most things on 5-6 pps yes I know my playing is shocking, not played in a longer time and didn't work out what to play at all. I'm not good by any means, but I'm better than I am here!
Demo of the Boss PS3. Clean tone is Prairiewood Les Paul into a Matchless HC30, 65 Amps birch cab with a Blue and G12H-30. The playing gets sucky at the end. Apologies, all around. :-) Full review at: guitarforworship.wordpress.com
