PreSonus shows off the DigiMax FS, an eight-channel microphone preamp with 24-bit/96k ADAT dual SMUX in/out. This model features six mic/line inputs plus mic/instrument inputs on channels one and two. All eight inputs offer phantom power (in two banks of four channels each), and from the back of the unit you'll find inserts for EQ or compression (or whatever else your little heart desires). The back panel also features very handy analog direct outs from each pre, perfect for going to house consoles. The Digimax FS is compatible with any digital recording system with optical light pipe expansion capability, including the PreSonus FireStudio system, Digidesign systems, and more.
