The Neumann TLM 103 is the highest selling microphone for Neumann, because it's a high quality mic at an affordable price. One of their least expensive large diaphragms, the TLM 103 has a cardioid pattern that minimizes rear sound. It also supresses high feedback in live situations or where you might expect some loudspeaker playback. TLM stands for "transformerless" - which means this is a very quiet microphone, warm and smooth for vocals. But it's also good for overhead, drums, and acoustic instruments because it can take a high SPL (sound pressure level). And because it's classy - it's available in satin nickel and matte black, and comes with an SG 1 metal swivel mount and a wooden jeweler's box. Hear more details in the Gearwire video. |
