We offer a 1200 foot simulated asphalt runway situated on 12 acres of beautiful grass with an open field area that is free of obstructions. The children will enjoy the playground that has 2 slides and plenty of room for them to run around. There are gas grills for members and their families to use. There are clean portable restrooms for your convenience. We also have 120 volt ac / 12 volt DC power along the flight line. The Field House serves as a shelter, hangar, and general hang out space for all. Field maintenance fees are already added in the cost of the membership. All the pilots of the SMMAC club are friendly and willing to help with all aspects of the radio controlled aviation spectrum.
This was my second flight with winds variable from E to S/E between 5 and 10 KTS but comparing to yesterday's flight the visibility is poor. having as payload the GOPRO HD HERO 2. this time I took out the weight and used the GOPRO as balance having a total weight of 1098 gramms, fair enough for m 1100g engine. I am flying a modified Aerobird Xtreme from Hobbyzone with V-tail mixed on 2 CH. Radio FUTABA T6J, RX FUTABA R2006GS, Brushless motor from EMAX 1100 g of thrust, that I will change with a 3000g thrust EMAX because the aircraft weight is now 1200 g with the GOPRO on and since it will be my first FPV aircraft it will weight 1700g with full payload.
I made 12 DOF quadrupter 5 years ago. It controlled by SH2-7145F(main-cpu) and PIC16F873(sub-cpu). Used servo are S9602(swing direction) and S3102(support direction). Body is made of C-FRP,so very light,total weight 1200g,and legs can be moved pleasurable fast. It has 6 PSD-sensor, foot-SW in each legs,and 3-axis acceleration sensor.
