Bob Reardon of sE Electronics spent the better half of a day with us demoing his company's microphones, and after a few hours, he really opened up, emotionally. We got to talking about how the 2200a was recently used by Amy Winehouse, and Bob's demeanor did a sudden one-eighty. I knew something was bothering him, and he told me that what needed to be said, needed to be sung, so I stepped aside and let Bob rock the mic (again, an sE Electronics 2200a) with the plaintive tale of a love affair that felt so right, it was hardest thing in the world to say "no, no, no" to. Oh, the 2200a sounds pretty great on guitar, too! |
